This pattern is written for a yarn I'm unfamiliar with, Langsoond Double Knit. The shawl is knit at 4 sts/inch using a US #7 needle and based on yardage/skein, Jamieson Heather Aran seems like a better substitution than Jamieson DK. Both options are based on the yardage of the original yarn.
