We moved to Virginia in February of '98 after living in central Ohio for almost 60 years.

We are renovating the house and store building that use to be the Anderson Trading Company in Andersonville Virginia and are re-starting the yarn and woodworking businesses we  had in Ohio. We're actually making some progress on the house! One end of the exterior has the new paint scheme, the bathroom has been re-done and the kitchen has been re-arranged and some 'new' cabinets in place. We restored the trim around the 'upstairs' front door and put a copper standing seam roof over the door trim. The gas logs we put in the living room and library fireplaces have really paid off this winter (heat for us, income for the propane man). We uncovered another fireplace, this one in the dining room, that's 5 so far. We'll have gas logs in 3, the fireplaces in the bedrooms will have to be decorative.We  have built a fireplace surround and cupboards for the records and audio gear. The reproduction A&C tiles   around the library fireplace are in place and look pretty good (if I do say so myself).

The woodworking business is now booked into July. Click here for a job status report. We have a lot of new things to show you that were done just prior to last Christmas.
