Shipping Options and Costs

• All orders ship via U.S. Postal Service (USPS) or Global Post. Orders received after 2:00pm ET Fridays most likely will not ship until Monday.
• Minimum shipping/handling charge for orders of physical goods:
  • US East — $6.50
  • US West — $7.00
  • Canada/Mexico — $13.50
  • Australia/New Zealand — $38.00
  • Rest of World — $14.50
  The minimum charge helps cover the cost of processing your order and getting it to USPS or Global Post.
• Shipping charged at cost, subject to the minimum charge above.

  Actual shipping costs may be more than estimates shown during checkout. To get the exact shipping cost before you are charged, select the Send Quote shipping option during checkout (recommended for international orders).

• Orders over $75.00 automatically sent insured.

  Insurance only covers the cost of goods, not the shipping charges. If a package is lost, I will not refund the shipping charges unless it was lost due to my error.

• USPS or an authorized postage service such as Endicia is used to generate most shipping labels and postage.
  • Your shipping address, phone number, and email address are supplied to the postage service to generate the label.
  • You should receive an shipping notification email from the postage service or from a yarnbarn email account.
  • Notifications from USPS may identify these packages as from "Stamps.com" in Dillwyn, VA.

Explanation of Shipping Options During Checkout

Best Way

I choose which USPS or Global Post service to use to ship your order. If you are paying by credit/debit card, you will not receive an email with the exact shipping charge or order total before I charge your card.

Send Quote

I will send you an email with the costs of the various shipping options when your order is ready to ship.

Your order will not be sent until you accept the shipping charges by replying to my email. If prices are quoted for multiple shipping options, be sure to specify the option you want, to avoid another round of emails.

If you do not receive an email from me with either a shipping quote or information about product availability within 1 business day of your order, please contact me.

Swifts

If your order includes a swift, this should be the only option other than "Send Quote." Due to the size of the box, shipping swifts is very expensive. If you order other items, I may be able to include them in the same box at no additional shipping charge.

Woolly Board

If your order includes a woolly board, but not a swift, this should be the only option other than "Send Quote." Due to the length of the box, shipping woolly boards is very expensive. If you order other items, I may be able to include them in the same box at no additional shipping charge.

No Shipping Required

Your order only contains downloadable patterns or emailed gift certificates. There is no shipping/handling charge.

Options in the United States

• Ground Advantage — 2–5 business day delivery, depending on destination
• Priority Mail — 1–3 business day delivery, depending on destination

Options outside the United States

All packages to destinations outside the United States are sent via Global Post, at your risk.

Global Post is a service where I send packages to a collection point in the US, then they are bundled and shipped to other countries by Global Post for customs clearance. Once customs are cleared, a local service delivers your package. I have no control over which local service is used.

All shipments to destinations outside the United States are at your risk.

I do not collect any taxes (VAT) or customs duties owed on international shipments. You may need to pay these before your package will be delivered.

Please check your shipping address is correct. Once the package leaves my shop, I have no way to correct the address. Insurance only covers the cost of goods, not the shipping charges. If a package is lost, I will not refund the shipping charges unless it was lost due to my error.
